From Roskilde the route runs on one-way cycle tracks through the eight municipalities, following Københavnsvej, Roskildevej across Valby Bakke and further on Vesterbrogade on to Copenhagen City Hall Square. The route runs parralel with the rail road and continues straight ahead on the entire route.

About the route

Roskilderuten connects eight municpalities and likewise connects the Capital Region and Region Zealand. The route follows a thoruoghfare between Roskilde, Vestegnen and Copenhagen with wide cycle paths on the entire route. The route is a direct connection between several residential areas and larger educational institutions and business areas. In east the route passes Damhussøen and Copenhagen Zoo. The route further runs close to the rail road with regional train connections and multiple S-train connections.

The route connects the areas Roskilde, Hedehusene, Høje-Taastrup, Vridsløselille, Albertslund, Glostrup, Brøndbyøster, Rødovre, Damhussøen, Frederiksberg, Copenhagen Zoo, City Hall Square and inner city Copenhagen.
