From Kongens Lyngby and Bagsværd the Ring 4-ruten follows Ringvej 4 by one-way cycle tracks through Furesø and Herlev to Ballerup. In Ballerup the route continues close to Ballerup station through recreational areas and further on in Vestskoven through field and forest surroundings. In Albertslund the route follows path systems onwards to Albertslund station.

About the route
Ring 4-ruten is a route that connects Kongens Lyngby and Bagsværd in the north with Ballerup and Albertslund on Vestegnen in south. The route gives cycling commuters a good connection across the five fingers of the larger Copenhagen area. Ring 4-ruten intersects with six other cycle superhighways and therefore supports the larger cycle superhighway network in the Capital Region. The route runs in green surroundings following Bagsværd Sø and on through Vestskoven. Between Bagsværd and Ballerup the route follows ring road 4.
