In Hillerød, the route runs from Hillerød St. along Milnersvej along varying cycling infrastructure and continues along one-way cycle paths in open countryside along Roskildevej, and continues along a bidirectional cycle path along Lyngevej to Nørre Herlev. After that, there are no cycling facilities until Lynge. The route is an important link in the rest of the cycle superhighway network as it connects to the Hundested-Hillerødruten, Hillerød-Allerødruten and Ølstykke-Hillerødruten in the north, and the Lynge-Hørsholmruten and Frederikssund-Farumruten in the south.
