The route runs along the main road between Hillerød and Helsingør and connects the areas Hillerød, Kratbjerg, Fredensborg, Kvistgård and Helsingør. The route has varying cycling infrastructure but primarely runs on one-way cycle tracks and wide curb strips.

About the route

Hillerød-Helsingørruten runs through green surroundings in open land across the northern zealandic geography. In Hillerød the route runs on one-way cycle tracks with varying width. On the strecth between Hillerød and Helsingør the cycling infrastructure shifts between one-way cycling tracks with grass curbs seperating cyclists from the road and bidirectional cycle tracks.

Additionally there is a stretch where the route both runs on wide curb strips and by one-way cycle tracks and on narrow roads, on to Helsingør station.
