The Frederikssundruten runs partly in its own course in green surroundings on one-way cycle paths, following the railway between Frederikssund and Måløv, and along a larger access road between Måløv and Inner Copenhagen.

About the route
Frederikssundruten is a direct link between Frederikssund and Copenhagen that connect a number of suburbs and smaller cities with central Copenhagen. The route primarely runs in its own course as a bidirectional cycle path in green surroundings along the S-train network from Frederikssund to Egedal and Ballerup. The route continues along one-way cycle tracks on each side of the road through Ballerup and Herlev to Copenhagen.

Before 2030: Stage 3 of the Frederikssundruten is a strecht of 1.9 km that extends the route through central Frederikssund. The strecht entails one-way cycle tracks on both sides of A.C. Hansens Vej, Bruhnsvej and Færgevej until the route meets J.F. Willumsens Vej and the Frederikssund-Farumruten.
