The runs through open terrain following a possible future extension of the Frederikssund Motorway. The route will connect the Frederikssundruten with the Jyllinge-Stenløseruten.

About the route

The route will create a more direct connection between Frederikssund on one side and Jyllinge in Roskilde Municipality and parts of Stenløse on the other. For users of the Frederikssundruten, the Frederikssundmotorvejsruten (together with part of the Jyllinge-Stenløseruten) will also offer an alternative on the stretch between Stenløse and Frederikssund. There is good experience with cycle superhighways along motorways from the Farumruten, where a direct alignment without interruptions has led to many users.
