Somme tider forl\u00f8ber supercykelstierne i byomr\u00e5der med t\u00e6t bebyggelse og andre gange forl\u00f8ber de gennem skove og andre naturlige omgivelser. Geografien, hvor supercykelstierne forl\u00f8ber, kan derfor variere fra rute til rute, men ogs\u00e5 fra str\u00e6kning til str\u00e6kning p\u00e5 de enkelte ruter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derfor er det en god ide at overveje udformningen af supercykelstierne i henhold til den g\u00e6ldende geografi for en rutestr\u00e6kning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der kan fx v\u00e6re behov for at overveje udformningen af infrastrukturen i omr\u00e5der i byzoner, hvor der fx oftest er mere cykeltrafik og derfor et behov for bredere cykelstier end i omr\u00e5der udenfor byzoner, hvor cykeltrafikken ikke er lige s\u00e5 intens, hvor det kan v\u00e6re passende med smallere stier. Der kan derfor ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re behov for at g\u00f8re yderligere overvejelser i forhold til trafiksikkerheden alt efter den geografi ruten forl\u00f8ber igennem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Som udgangspunkt opererer Supercykelstisamarbejdet i hovedstadsregionen med en geografisk inddeling af hovedstadsregionen i forbindelse med anbefalinger til design og anl\u00e6g: Indre byzone, ydre byzone og omr\u00e5der uden for byzoner. Omr\u00e5der udenfor byzoner, refererer s\u00e5ledes oftest til omr\u00e5der uden bym\u00e6ssig bebyggelse og landomr\u00e5der, hvor k\u00f8ret\u00f8jer oftest m\u00e5 k\u00f8res maks. 80 km\/t medmindre andet er angivet. Omr\u00e5derne udenfor byzoner er oftest ogs\u00e5 pr\u00e6get af naturomgivelser og frav\u00e6r af bymilj\u00f8er.<br><br>I dette geografiske omr\u00e5de, vil man typisk opleve h\u00f8jere hastigheder i vejtrafikken og mindre cyklistm\u00e6ngder end man vil opleve i de ovenfor beskrevne omr\u00e5der. Her kan det v\u00e6re n\u00f8dvendigt at tage andre hensyn, end de der oftest tages i indre og ydre byzoner.
